Thanks to the support of our members WWT can continue to manage, develop and protect wetland habitats, conserve endangered species and share knowledge and inspire people to take positive conservation action.

Title: Bumble Bee

Materials/Info: Mixed plastic bags & wire.

Albert Einstein once said: “If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live”.

Although most of our staple foods (corn, wheat, rice and the other cereals), are wind pollinated, entomologists today agree that the sudden and mysterious disappearance of bees from their hives

poses serious problems!

The loss of a species occupying key positions in ecosystems can endanger the entire ecosystem and ‘co-extinctions’ accelerate the rate of species and biodiversity loss.

Artist: MARIAN BRUCE

Title: Untitled
